«London Stock Exchange Group Plc» призупинила членство ВТБ, тобто тепер він більше не може торгувати на британському ринку. Банк також втратив доступ до Лондонської асоціації ринку злитків, де торгував дорогоцінними металами разом з російським аналогом Совкомбанку.
Кредитори намагаються розірвати зв’язки з ВТБ після того, як Казначейство Великобританії заморозило його активи.
Деякі банки закликали чиновників у міністерстві фінансів видати наказ про ліквідацію ВТБ.
Юридичному раднику ВТБ «Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP» заборонено отримувати будь-які платежі від підсанкційного банку, доки не отримають від держави на це спеціальний дозвіл.
Том Тугендхат, голова комітету британського парламенту із закордонних справ, сказав, що британцям та іншим іноземцям, які працюють у російських банках, слід «дуже ретельно подумати».

Sanctions in force: VTB can no longer trade in the British market
«London Stock Exchange Group Plc» has suspended VTB’s membership, meaning it can no longer trade in the UK market. The bank also lost access to the London Ingot Market Association, where it traded in precious metals together with its Russian counterpart Sovcombank.
Lenders are trying to sever ties with VTB after the UK Treasury froze its assets.
Some banks have called on finance ministry officials to issue an order to liquidate VTB.
VTB Legal Adviser Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP is prohibited from receiving any payments from the sanctioned bank until it has received special permission from the state.
Tom Tugendhat, chairman of the British Foreign Affairs Committee, said Britons and other foreigners working in Russian banks should «think very carefully».
Most recently, VTB had ambitions to become a major player in the City of London. And so Putin killed his own ambitions with his own hands.
